Ol' Sarge first appeared in 1938 when the Battalion Humor Magazine depicted a strong-jawed prisoner causally smoking as prison guards and lawyers exclaimed "He's too tough for Alcatraz, y'r'onor. Let's send him to A&M." He later morphed into the strong-jawed sergeant who embodied the demeanor of the rough-and-tough upperclassman. Officially licensed College Vault product.
